meet the LAB

ALab.Studio is a mixed media lab for digital and analog experiences. The focus is on the composition of analog and digital creations. These can take many forms – physical products from the digital world, digital content in the physical world or a mix of many. Our lab knows no boundaries and we love to explore. By combining techniques from both genres, new forms of creation and presentation emerge. The focus in conception and preparation is the natural process. Emotions serve as a guideline for the composition of the individual building blocks – moving, still or interactive.

Our vision at ALab.Studio is to create long-lasting works of art that outlast our lifetime and at the same time build a bridge between the analog and digital worlds. We want to create spaces that are both aesthetic and functional – be it the digital space that encompasses a wide range of possibilities (photos, designs, 3D, moving image, animation …) or the physical reality (installations, carpets …).

Our mission is to unite art and utilitarian objects by creating works that are both emotionally touching and practically useful and fulfill a purpose. We focus on high-quality, sustainable materials and recycled resources to consciously counteract fast, industrial production. By combining analog and digital techniques, we strive to develop new forms and concepts that break down stereotypes and evoke deeper emotional connections.

In our tufting workshops, we offer people the opportunity to share this vision and unleash their own creativity.
